Andy Warhol: "The little Red Hen"

 

Ammetto la mia ignoranza: non sapevo che Andy Warhol fosse anche un illustratore di libri per ragazzi.
L'ho scoperto per caso, venendo a sapere che ieri a New York sono state messe all'asta le immagini appartenenti alle storie di "The Little Red Hen" illustrate da Warhol tra il 1957 e il 1959.

Colorati e divertenti, questi disegni raccontano la storia di una gallinella rossa e dei suoi amici: un gatto pigro, un topo e un cane che ama leggere il giornale.

I admit my ignorance: I didn't know that Andy Warhol was also an illustrator of children's book. I discovered by chance yesterday,when in New York were autioned images belonging to the stories of "The Little Red Hen" illustrated by Warhol between 1957 and 1959.

Colorful and fun, these pictures tell the story of a red hen and her friends: a lazy cat, a mouse and a dog who loves reading the newspaper.
